Andromachi grew up in the multi-cultural city of Thessaloniki. She received a degree in Ottoman and Balkan studies from the University of Macedonia. The thesis of her M.Sc degree was an unpublished ottoman manuscript of a list of proverbs dating back to the 19th century which she translated herself. Ever since, her main interests are social anthropology and folklore studies.
Painting and modern art are her two greatest loves. She cannot imagine her life without color or creative expression. Her favorite activity is cooking for friends. Her favorite word is “creation”.
